Ballet

Ballet is offered for dancers 3 years and older

TAP

   a:  a step dance tapped out audibly by means of shoes with hard soles or soles and heels to which taps have been added

Tap is available for dancers 4 years old through 5th Grade

JAZZ

   a :  popular dance music influenced by jazz and played in a loud rhythmic manner

Jazz is available for dancers Pre-K and older

Hip hop

   a: to street dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture. It includes a wide range of styles primarily breaking, locking, and popping which were created in the 1970s and made popular by dance crews in the United States.

Hip Hop is available for dancers 2nd grade and older

Pointe

    a:  a ballet position in which the body is balanced on the extreme tip of the toe

Pointe is available for dancers 6th grade and older
Instructor approval is required Dancer must also be enrolled in ballet

lyrical

noun  lyr·i·cal \ˈlir-i-kəl\

 a: a style of dance created from the fusion of ballet  with jazz and contemporary  dance techniques and is a "cousin" to those styles.  Lyrical dancing is performed to music with lyrics to inspire movements to express strong emotions the choreographer feels from the lyrics in the chosen song.

Lyrical is available for dancers 6th grade and older
Dancer must also be enrolled in ballet

Drill Team
